As political and social unrest continues in Haiti, our country team has moved, for safety reasons, to provide Water Women training on the small island of La Gonave off the main island. While working there, our team has observed babies and toddlers with heartbreaking cases of scabies that have caused profound skin infections. We are seeking in-kind donations of permethrin medicinal cream (up to 300-400 Rx tubes) to help treat the extensive scabies infestations and support better health among these vulnerable little ones. WWB has already secured commitments from our partners, Sawyer Products and UPS, for getting the permethrin spray version to La Gonave for use in residential areas. We are reaching out to the biggest manufacturer of permethrin medicinal cream for this desperately needed humanitarian aid.
